A moderate yielding vintage due to a cooler flowering period. Long warm summer and cooler autumn punctuated by occasional rainfall. For low yielding vineyards fruit came in at moderate alcohol levels and with nice balance of acidity. Flavours were vibrant and delicate.

‘A distinctive Marlborough wine, the 2011 vintage (★★★★½) is pale pink, with mouthfilling body and rich, sweet (70 grams/litre of residual sugar) flavours of strawberries and apricots. Very fresh and vibrant, with good complexity, it’s a distinctive wine, priced sharply.’
‘Orange tint. Moderately sweet Pinot Gris with plenty of weight and strong white-fleshed plum, honey and quince paste. Nicely balanced with fine tannins restraining sweetness. Delicious wine with a lengthy finish.’
‘This luscious pinot gris is opulent and fragrant on the nose displaying yellow peach, tropical fruit, marmalade and subtle spice notes. It's immediately appealing on the palate with lovely sweetness (77 g/l) and rich texture, finishing long and succulent.
