2011 was a moderate yielding vintage with a good flowering that was backed up by a classic Marlborough summer. Smaller berry size ensured good concentration and the warmth ensured nice balance of acid, pH and lower alcohols.

‘With appealing scents of baker’s yeast, honeycomb and musk perfume over notes of apple pie and warm peaches, the medium-bodied 2011 Chardonnay has a lot of apple and stone fruit flavor intensity in the mouth, though it remains elegantly styled with a lovely seamlessness and a long, yeasty finish. Drink it now to 2016+.
‘Elegant, tightly structured, citrusy wine, fermented and matured for 16 months in French oak barriques. Fresh acidity, with grapefruit-like flavours showing very good depth, a gentle twist of oak and a lengthy finish.
Full straw-yellow colour with light lemon-green hues on edge. The bouquet is up-front with clear and lifted aromas of citrus fruits, white stonefruits, savoury nuts and butterscotch MLF notes. ...
